We're pulling out all the stops to bring you a year-long Silver Anniversary Celebration of extraordinary programs. The season launches with an unforgettable opening night featuring Brahms' Requiem — a true pinnacle of choral artistry replete with nearly 100 singers and orchestra. From this powerful beginning, the celebration unfolds into a season of landmark events — from The Master Chorale Salutes the Music of Stephen Sondheim, a spectacular one-night-only event honoring one of the most influential voices in American musical theater — to the triumphant return after 10 years of Peter Sellars' acclaimed Lagrime di San Pietro, this is a season like no other.
Also included are standout collaborations such as our first-ever partnership with the National Chorus of Korea, the brilliant Grammy winner Eric Whitacre conducting the West Coast premiere of his new piece, Eternity in an Hour, and an evening with the spectacular and beloved Anne Akiko Meyers.
And, of course, the holidays wouldn't be complete without our singular blend of wonderful programming for music lovers of all ages. This year, Handel's Messiah features a special partnership with France's Le Concert d'Astrée — one of the world's great Baroque ensembles, under the direction of their dynamic music director, Emmanuelle Haïm.
And, as an add-on to the holiday season, you won't want to miss our brand-new tribute to the music of Las Posadas at Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels, complete with mariachi musicians and our incredible singers. Plus, you'll want to be there for our popular LA Sings! concert in Grand Park, which is moving outdoors to accommodate thousands of anticipated guests.
We hope that you'll join us all season long by subscribing today.
