Free invited dress rehearsals at Walt Disney Concert Hall open to classrooms grades 4-12. 2026/27 Field Trip Opportunities for Students Every year, the LA Master Chorale opens its doors to students for a chance to sit in on working dress rehearsals at Walt Disney Concert Hall. These events offer students the chance to experience the sound of the largest professional choir in the country in one of the most iconic music spaces. We welcome students from elementary, middle, and high school. Whether or not they have a musical background, this is a meaningful opportunity to expose students to professional-level music and the artistic process in an inspiring setting. For many, it will be their first time inside a concert hall or hearing a choir of this scale.
What to Expect Students will attend a scheduled rehearsal for one of our upcoming concerts. While they may observe the singers refining certain sections or receiving direction from the conductor, they will also have the chance to simply listen. The sound of the choir in this space is powerful and memorable, and each rehearsal provides a slightly different experience depending on the music being prepared.
Who Can Attend Public, charter, and private schools and youth-center organizations at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Open to both music classes and general education groups.
Key Information • Cost: Free for students and chaperones • Transportation: Not provided. Schools arrange their own transportation. • Application: Applications will open August 17 – September 14, 2026. • Notification: Acceptances emailed on or before September 24, 2026. • Availability: Once an event is full, a waitlist will be offered
How to Apply Applications for the current season are now closed. Fill out the interest form to be the first to know when applications open for the next season. You will be asked to share some basic information about your school, grade levels, and number of students attending.
