FAQS
We advise arriving at the hall at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time. Concert start times can vary, so please check your ticket for the correct curtain time. Most of our concerts will be preceded by a ListenUp! pre-concert talk that will begin 1 hour before the concert starts. These events are free to ticketholders and will be held in BP Hall on the 2nd level of Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Latecomers will be seated at the first suitable break in the concert. For the convenience of latecomers, the program appears on monitors throughout the hall, including those near the Concert Hall Café.
All patrons will receive a program book upon entry into the concert hall auditorium. We will also post program notes online before each concert.
For information on dining options both in the hall and located nearby, click here. There are also intermission bars located in the hall for drinks and snacks. You can pre-order your intermission refreshments ahead of time and have these waiting for you at intermission in a designated area. Please note, drinking and eating are prohibited during all concerts.
It's Los Angeles; almost anything goes! You will see people in suits and dresses and other people in jeans and a polo shirt. There is no strict dress code for our concerts, but as a rule, “smart casual” is a good guideline.
If you are not sure, the best bet is to follow the rest of the crowd. Generally the best time to applaud is after the music has stopped, the conductor has lowered their arm to their side, and has turned to address the audience.
