She’s utterly sublime…and her love of music and the Master Chorale is boundless.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of glorious music with Anne Akiko Meyers, one of today’s most esteemed and celebrated violinists. Anne recently recorded two albums with the Master Chorale, Mysterium and Beloved (which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2026). This concert will feature music from both of these recordings including Sheep may safely graze by Bach and Lauridsen’s beloved O Magnum Mysterium.
One of the most influential violinists of our time, Meyers was a child prodigy who made her debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at age 11, also appearing on The Tonight Show twice while in her teens. She is also a Grammy-winning artist with four decades of international acclaim, known as a defining force in contemporary music and a fearless champion of today’s leading composers.
Her close musical collaborations include those with Billy Childs, Philip Glass, Wynton Marsalis, Eric Whitacre, Arturo Márquez and others. In fact, it was her recording of Márquez’s Fandango with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil that earned two Latin Grammy Awards: Best Classical Album and Best Classical Contemporary Composition.
