I grew up taking piano lessons from my father who taught at his music school called The French School of Music. To this day, I still default to the fixed-do French solfège approach for sight-reading. I also played the oboe for a bit, had a couple roles in musical theater productions and studied opera, but only did a music minor at my small liberal arts college. I actually studied graphic design since I’d always been told that I couldn’t earn a great living as a musician. However, after working for 10 years as a designer, I made the switch to singing full time and haven't looked back!

Highlights of your musical career:
There are too many to list, but any time I work directly with a composer whether it’s to help create something new or carry out an existing vision, I feel a deep sense of fulfillment.
A defining moment of favorite LA Master Chorale onstage experience:
Singing along with a packed Disney Hall as well as thousands of people streaming live for LAMC’s 2018 Big Sing was epic. There was a palpable presence of massive togetherness unlike anything I've felt before.
What are you listening to these days?
I'm all over the place but having a lot of fun with yacht rock right now. It reminds me of my days as a kid in the car listening to my mom’s soft rock station!
