It’s a choral match in perfect harmony that spans two continents.
For the first time in history, the Los Angeles Master Chorale will perform with the National Chorus of Korea, a fellow world-class powerhouse organization, also known for its technical precision and emotional depth.
The definitive voice of choral music in South Korea and the country’s “musical ambassadors,” the National Chorus of Korea was founded in 1973 as the first professional choral ensemble in the country. With the ability to tackle extremely complex repertoires – from Renaissance pieces to avant-garde contemporary works – the Chorus has a vocal blend and intonation that is rarely matched.
This once-in-a-lifetime event will feature a combined ensemble of over 100 Master Chorale and National Chorus singers performing music spanning the ages, both as individual choirs and in harmony with each other.
Grant Gershon and In-Gi Min, conductors
48 LAMC singers, 54 National Chorus of Korea singers, piano
