Bio:
Elyse Willis is in her eleventh season as a soprano with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and has served as AGMA Delegate for the group since 2018. She is an active session singer, having sung on over 45 films, 100 episodes of television, and numerous video games. Recent projects include Star Wars: The Last Jedi (where she played an opera-singing alien), The Lion King (2019), Lady and the Tramp (2019), and Frozen II. She works frequently with her husband, composer Christopher Willis, in multiple musical capacities on various projects, including films The Death of Stalin and The Personal History of David Copperfield, and TV shows Disney Mickey Mouse shorts and Disney Junior's The Lion Guard. They collaborated on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, a new major attraction for Disney World and Disneyland based on the Mickey Mouse shorts, where they co-wrote an original song for the ride.
Recent live engagements include the role of Despina in Così Fan Tutte with Riverside Lyric Opera, and The Nightmare Before Christmas Live and La La Land Live at the Hollywood Bowl. She is also a staff soprano for High Holy Days at Temple of the Arts in Beverly Hills and part of the Chamber Singers of Street Symphony, a non-profit group which brings live music to the underserved communities of Skid Row and the prison system. In addition to performing, she is a Vocal Teaching Artist at Disneyland with Disney Performing Arts, where she offers visiting students a chance to experience what a real film recording session is like as they learn songs on the spot, record them, and get to view the film with their voices attached.
