Bio:
Aleta began her LAMC journey as a soprano soloist on tour with the Roger Wagner Chorale. She has been a soloist for LAMC’s Messiah Sing-Alongs, Holiday Wonders, It’s A Wrap and the Disney Princess Medley. She sang on the Grammy-nominated recording Lux Aeterna. Having performed in LA Opera's 1986 inaugural production of Otello, El Gato Montes marked the 150th production. (She is now up to 153).
Highlight productions include Candide, the Grammy-Winning recordings of Aknhaten and The Ghosts of Versailles and was a soloist in Porgy and Bess and Oklahoma. Other solo credits include tours with The McNeil Jubilee Singers. Her list of film soundtracks include Ralph Breaks the Internet, Venom, Bumblebee, The Predator, Ready Player One, Star Wars: Rogue One, Frozen, Creed, and The Jungle Book. TV appearances include Malcom in the Middle, The Crazy Ones, E.R. and Glee.
Ms. Braxton has also directed productions for Lyric Opera of Los Angeles including the West Coast premiere of Wagner's first opera Die Feen. Her voice can be heard on recordings with Walt Disney Records and recordings with Barbara Streisand, Christina Aguilera and Josh Groban. She is currently on the cantoring team at St. Charles Borromeo in North Hollywood and is the choir director at New Hope Lutheran Church in Agoura Hills. As a music instructor, she is teaching vocal fundamentals and sight-singing at The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
