Bio:
Sarah Lonsert began her singing career as a form of therapy for her High-functioning Autism. Early in her life, she chose to follow a Musical Theatre path due to her initial dream of being Christine in Phantom of the Opera but she discovered an additional love for classical music after accidentally enrolling in a Music101 class at her community college. Throughout her career, she has been a soloist at the Long Beach Camerata Singers and Long Beach Symphony, Synesthesia Sinfonietta, Our Lady Queen of Angels, Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the American Legion’s. Some of her personal highlights are; recording with John Williams and Steven Spielberg for their “The Ultimate Collection” CD, being a part of the Grammy Awarding Winning Choir on Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic's recording of Mahler's Symphony No. 8 for “Best Chorale performance” in 2022, and singing in Carnegie Hall in the Tarik O’Regan Choir. She has sung with many notable names and organizations such as Andrea Bocelli, The L.A. Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and John Williams to name a few. Notable solo and choral overseas performances include; Rome, Paris, Germany, The Glinka Cappella in Russia, and The Rock Church in Estonia. Sarah’s scholastic achievements are graduating from California State University Fullerton with her BM in Vocal Performance and achieving her Master’s in Music at California State University Northridge. Some of Sarah's personal favorite performances include Juliette in Romeo et Juliette, Rose Maurrant in Street Scene, Fire in L'enfant et les sortilèges, Lois Warner in Breaking Up in Hard to Do, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat. Equally at home in classical, musical theatre and pop genres (in which she has a solo CD “Dreams and Poetry” and an EP “I Will Rise"), Sarah is passionate in being authentic in all genres of music, crossover music, and sharing that, no matter a person's background, any genre of music can and will speak to you when it is performed authentically and from the soul. Sarah continues to study classical and musical theatre voice under Diane Ketchie. Sarah is a proud member of AGMA and she currently performs in the LA Master Chorale under Maestro Grant Gershon, Pacific Chorale under Dr. Robert Istad, Long Beach Camerata Singers under Dr. James K. Bass, and Voices of Terpsichor.
