ABOUT THIS CONCERT
The strength and struggle of women are central to this program. New Swan Family Artist-in-Residence Reena Esmail sets texts by notable women, including “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou, in a work that reflects “the multifaceted experiences of being a woman.” MacMillan’s gripping Stabat Mater sets out to “see the Passion story through Mary’s eyes.”
