Reena Esmail often says that her music exists between the worlds of Indian and Western classical music. You may have heard us perform Reena's work This Love Between Us or seen our music video for her piece TaReKiTa. This concert presents an in-depth look at the tapestry of Reena’s choral repertoire, paired with Frank Martin’s virtuosic a cappella masterpiece Mass for Double Choir, which will take you on a journey from personal religious devotion to a glorious confluence of inspirations including Renaissance polyphony, Bach, Venetian antiphony, and French Impressionism.
