Gifts of Stock

Giving appreciated securities is a tax-wise way to support the Los Angeles Master Chorale. For securities held longer than one year, you can deduct their full fair market value, regardless of what you originally paid for them. You also avoid paying capital gains tax.
 
It is important that we are notified prior to every stock transfer in order for us to accurately identify, allocate, and acknowledge your gift. You can do so by downloading our gift of stock transaction form below. This document also includes the electronic transfer instructions your broker will need to make the gift.
