On July 21, over 10,000 singers participated in the biggest choral event in California state history, performing choral masterworks like Morten Lauridsen's Dirait-on and Eric Whitacre's Sleep, alongside popular favorites like Lean On Me, Pentatonix's Sing, the Beatles' Hey Jude.
Composer and Artist-in-Residence Eric Whitacre hosted this live choral concert with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and 2,000 audience singers at Walt Disney Concert Hall, which was simultaneously broadcast to five California satellite venues, where choirs assembled and sang with each other in real-time. The concert was live-streamed online (right here) for anyone in the world to watch–and sing along.
