Dominic Delzompo

Bio:
Dominic Delzompo (he/him) is a Bass-Baritone, songwriter, composer, and music producer based in Los Angeles, California. In May of 2026, Dominic was one of ten finalists in the Kurt Weill foundation’s internationally recognized Lotte Lenya competition, “A one-of-a-kind contest that requires demonstration of both acting and vocal skills, the Lenya Competition celebrates talented singing actors of all nationalities, ages 19-32, who can 'do it all' across the dynamic landscape of lyric theater.” After returning from the competition, he performed as the baritone soloist in Fauré’s Requiem with the choir of St. John’s Cathedral and the Laós Chamber Orchestra. He then sang with the LA Master Chorale as they performed Harmonium and Cantata Criolla in the final concert of Gustavo Dudamel’s tenure as the Artistic Director of the LA Philharmonic in June of 2026. In March of 2026, Dominic joined LA Opera Connects to perform the role of Gunther Grimm in their production of GERMAN OPERA TALES, which brought the magic of Opera to over 6,000 elementary and middle school students at both the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and in schools throughout LAUSD. He returns to LA Opera Connects in the fall of 2026 to perform the roles of “Manager” and “Hades” in their production of ORPHEUS. Dominic will also sing with the Long Beach Camerata Singers and Catalyst for multiple concerts during the 2026/27 season.
Prior to joining the roster of the Los Angeles Master Chorale in 2026, Dominic sang in the Chorale on many occasions since 2020; these concerts include Beethoven 9 at both the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl in 2022; the Verdi Requiem with the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl in 2023, “Heaven & Earth” in October 2023, which featured the music of Reena Esmail and Philip Glass; the LA Philharmonic’s performances of Karawane and Daphnis et Chloe in December 2023; the LA Master Chorale’s Verdi Requiem in Spring of 2024; the LA Master Chorale’s Dia De Los Muertos concert in the Fall of 2024; Arnold Schöenberg’s Gurrelieder conducted by Zubin Mehta in the Fall of 2024, their “All You Need Is Love” concert in the Fall of 2024; the LA Master Chorale’s 2025 Spring Gala; their performance of Mahler 2 in February of 2025, and the “TWO TITANS” concert in the Fall of 2025, consisting of Beethoven’s Mass in C and Verdi’s 4 Sacred Pieces; and the 2026 GRAMMY Award Winning recording of Gabriela Ortiz’s YANGA, which was awarded “Best Choral Performance.” Dominic is a staff member of the choir at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Los Angeles and an alumnus of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
