Evan Roberts

Tenor Evan Roberts is thrilled to be joining the Los Angeles Master Chorale for his first season. A native of Pasadena, Evan is an avid choral musician in the Los Angeles area, performing and conducting with the Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles (C3LA), as well as the Donald Brinegar Singers. Evan spent his last two years in Bloomington, Indiana, where he completed two Masters’ degrees, one in Music Education Research from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, and one in Choral Conducting from California State University: Los Angeles. While studying at the Jacobs School, Evan sang with many choral ensembles: NOTUS, Concentus Early Music Ensemble, Bloomington Bach Cantata Project, Conductor’s Chorus, All-Campus Choir, and two opera choruses of Falstaff and the H.M.S. Pinafore. Evan enjoys performing different musical styles, playing keyboard, bass, and singing background vocals for local Pasadena-based bands. He currently works as the Choral Director at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA).
