Do you also have a non-singing "day job"? If so, what do you do? I create multi-sensory productions that find the intersection of different art forms.
Guest Appearances: David resides as an inaugural Company Member of The Industry. With the LA Philharmonic, he performed in Elkhanah Pulitzer’s production of Bernstein's MASS with Gustavo Dudamel, a production that led to David’s Lincoln Center debut at the Mostly Mozart Festival with Louis Langrée. He also performed with the LA Phil in the world premieres of Annie Gosfield’s War of the Worlds, a co-production with The Industry starring Sigourney Weaver, and Louis Andriessen’s Theatre of the World, released on Nonesuch Records; and returns in November for Cage’s Europeras 1 & 2. His relationship with The Industry began with several workshops through their First Take series and continued with Hopscotch, Bonnie and Clyde, Galileo, and Nimbus. David also collaborated on world premieres with LA Opera as Atzuko in Guerrerio’s ¡Figaro! (90210) (and later in his Off-Broadway & NY debut), the LA Master Chorale as King David in Kirchner’s Songs of Ascent, The Boston Court for Parola’s Hélas, the USC Fischer Museum in Parola’s infinite self, and Loyola New Orleans in Skelton’s Letters to Santa. Highlights include his European debut in Paris with pianist François Chouchan in their third performance of Schubert’s Winterreise and his debut with The Cleveland Orchestra in Debussy’s Pélleas et Mélisande with Franz Welser-Möst and director Yuval Sharon.

Highlights of your musical career: The first seconds of my first LAMC rehearsal with Mahler 2 in 2013. My Lincoln Center debut in Berstein's Mass, my Cleveland Orchestra debut in Pelléas et Mélisande, my LA Phil debut in Theatre of the World, my European debut in Winterreise.
Favorite choral work(s): Anything Bach, Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, Bach, and Bach.
A defining moment of favorite LA Master Chorale onstage experience: Having the honor to sing the solos for Songs of Ascent and to feel the rush of the orchestra in the opening movement. Also, when time stopped in the Bach B-Minor Mass several times during the choral sections in performance.
What are you listening to these days? Bach, LCD Soundsystem, Big Freedia, Baauer, The Marsalis Family, Buena Vista Social Club, Vince Staples, Father John Misty, Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, Cake, Bach, Schubert.
